Touch Screen PC's

Protouch, one of the leading manufacturers of touch screen PCs, has recently introduced a number of additions to its product range which are flexible enough to be applied in a wide variety of environments and have helped the company consolidate its market-leading position.

The aptly-named Allure touch PC has an eye-catching 19-inch metal panel and an enclosure made of stainless steel. The device features a TFT panel that comes equipped with high brightness options making it particularly effective for use in high-traffic public areas. The Allure could be used as a device for digital signage, displaying healthcare information and providing a video system for a kitchen. Its potential to carry digital signage could lead to it becoming an information kiosk, freeing up staff to conduct other duties.

Protouch has made a huge impact producing products that can be used in environments ranging from industrial workplaces through to the high street cafeteria, and as with many other firms is also looking to claim superiority in additional areas.

The Stealth touch PC operates without a fan, which immediately reduces its energy intake and, by extension, its carbon footprint. In addition to this, the lack of a fan makes it even more appropriate for usage in more sensitive environments, such as industrial workplaces and the hospitality sector. The PC boasts a series of additional features such as a credit card reader and WiFi network capabilities.

To facilitate connectivity, the Stealth touch PC provides four separate USB ports on the monitor itself in order to ensure easy access. Its spill-proof features could prove particularly useful in an industrial setting. With its sturdy design and inevitable flexibility the machine stands out above much of the competition.

Whereas multiple additional design features may be particularly useful in a retail or hospitality setting, Protouch also caters for businesses which may be seeking the same degree of functionality within a more cost-effective package.

The Pro-PoS touch PC offers a 15-inch machine which is particularly suited for retail businesses owing to its more straightforward modular design. Like the Stealth, the Pro-PoS delivers all the advantages associated with the removal of the fan, while the lack of accessories makes the product easier to maintain which could be advantageous for a retail environment on the high street.

Usage of touch PCs reaches to digital signage as well, as previously mentioned, and Protouch has proven adept at delivering both. The Full HD optical touch screen and the Full HD infrared touch screen both offer stunning image clarity in addition to sleek designs which make them at home in museums and other public venues. Enhancing this range is the Zurich Mini touch PC which could be viewed as the way forward in digital signage.

Integrating a high-performance PC, the Zurich Mini carries Pentium 3 and Pentium M PC options to the client and is designed to rotate images sourced online, from PowerPoint, TV or a range of other platforms. The device can be integrated seamlessly with the venue, whether that involves mounting on the wall or on a desk or even the floor, all of which results in stunning digital signage and dynamic visual presentations available in sizes of up to 57 inches.

In addition to its potential usage in signage, the Zurich Mini is compatible with additional features that would characterise Protouch devices in a retail environment, from pass-through card readers through to internet camera connection points.

Smartly designed, easy-to-use and fully flexible, the range of touch PCs available from Protouch speak decisively for the manufacturer's intent.
